Cleveland’s revitalized downtown, lakefront park and world-class museums make this low-key Midwestern city a cool place to be. For more than two decades, City Year AmeriCorps members have served Cleveland’s Ƶ, helping students to thrive.
While Cleveland is widely known for being a vibrant center for academia, business, tech and medicine, many students in Cleveland face significant challenges every day. The Cleveland Metropolitan School District and Breakthrough Charter Schools serve more than 40,000 students in 115 Ƶ.
“I walked into my service year with my mind open and a passion for service and quickly realized that I was a part of something much bigger than myself. My service experience has given me far more than I could have ever imagined. Anyone can serve, in any way.”
