Service spotlight: Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Faxon Elementary
As a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of service to others, City Year considers Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as a day “on,” not “off.”
On January 20, 2020, we brought together students, City Year AmeriCorps members and community volunteers from across the city to enliven the halls of Faxon Elementary by painting vibrant and inspirational murals throughout the school.
City Year’s MLK Day of Service shines a spotlight on service as a powerful force to bridge divides. Together, we can help build strong and vibrant communities for all of us.
