What is the Student Success Coach Learning Network in New York?

  • The Student Success Coach Learning Network (SSCLN) is a new collaborative, participant-driven learning community for organizations recruiting, training, managing, and deploying Student Success Coaches (SSCs) in Ƶ across New York State.
  • Participants will join a community of practice and access training, coaching, and implementation tools. The Learning Network is designed to address persistent challenges in education, particularly in underserved communities.

What are Student Success Coaches?

  • Student Success Coaches (SSCs) are aged 17-25 who serve in Ƶ as student success coaches i.e. tutors, mentors and role models who partner with teachers to provide students with academic and workforce skills, throughout the school day and through extended learning programs.
  • SSCs serve in our nation’s most systemically under-resourced Ƶ, ensuring these Ƶ receive the additional capacity and resources they need to meet the needs of their students and help them succeed, in school, college and career.
